Paying For Unpaid Items Before Bidding On 925bids.com

Paying For Unpaid Items Before Bidding

Max bidding is when you enter the maximum amount you are willing to pay in the bid box and submit that bid. The system will then monitor the item you are bidding on, placing the minimum bid necessary for you to be the top bidder until you have won the item or your max bid amount is reached. For example, if you enter a top bid of $40 on an item that is currently bid at $14, the system will automatically bid $15 for you, as long as the bid increment is $1. The system will keep bidding for you so that you maintain the top bid until your bid of $40 is reached. After that you will need to bid again to recapture the top bid. Try watching a few auctions before bidding, it will give you a better idea of how it works. When someone matches your max bid exactly, the system will reject their bid and accept your bid, since your bid was placed first. When this happens, it creates a condition where the output screen will show two successive bids by you. This is normal and can happen when someone matches your top bid. For example, if your top bid was again, $40, and someone bid $36, the system would bid $37 for you. If the next bid by someone else was $40, matching your top bid, the system would reject the matching bid and accept your bid of $40. The output on the screen would be, other bidder: $36, your bid: $37, your bid: $40.

We’re sorry to hear you are having payment issues. Our system shows failed payment, so you have not been charged, even though you may see pending charges on your credit card statement. Rest assured you will not be charged erroneously. Credit cards bill in two phases, an authorization, and a capture. Authorizations show up as pending charges, but they are not the same thing. Authorizations that do not result in payments typically clear off statements within 48 hours, depending on the card issuer. The reason your transaction did not complete is that you were attempting to ship your item to an address other than the verified billing address. In order to protect our customers from credit card fraud, we are required to ship to the verified billing address associated with the credit or debit card. If the address you entered is the verified billing address and the transaction is still not going through, it could be something as simple as spacing, a period, a dash, or an abbreviation preventing the payment from going through, so make sure the address you are providing us with matches exactly to what your bank has on file for the card. We suggest re-entering the address while looking at a copy of your billing or bank statement so you can enter your address exactly as the card issuer has it on file. Alternatively, you may use Paypal, it will supply your address automatically. You can get a free Paypal account at https://www.paypal.com
We do not hold items for payment beyond 48 hours, however there may sometimes be a lag in the amount of time an item takes to be returned to our auctions. We recommend that you check back on the date you wish to pay to see if they are still available. Thank you.

Testimonials are not meant to be an ebay-style feedback forum. We only accept a small percentage of testimonials for publication as featured out of the many we receive. We do not publish negative comments. We generally do not publish one-word testimonials, positive or negative. When we received a negative testimonial, we review it as a customer support request and try to help the customer resolve the issue if the issue is actionable.
We do not accept 3rd party auctions for listings at this time.
If there is a reserve on an item, it will be noted in the auction listing. Almost all of our $1 auctions do not have a reserve.

$1 auctions are no reserve auctions that start at $1 opening bid. The winning bidder, the one that places the highest bid amount during the auction, wins the auction upon the completion of the auction. Our $1 have a fixed beginning and end time. When the timer counts to 0, the auction is over. Bidders are also allowed to proxy bid. Proxy bidding is when you enter the maximum amount you are willing to pay in the bid box. The system will then monitor the item you are bidding on, placing the minimum bid necessary for you to be the top bidder until you have won the item or your max bid amount is reached. For example, if you enter a top bid of $40 on item that is currently bid at $14, the system will automatically bid $15 for you, as long as the bid increment is $1. Please note, when someone matches your proxy bid exactly, the system will reject their bid and accept your bid, since your bid was placed first. What Are $1 No-reserve Auctions On 925bids.com

A quick screencast on $1 No-Reserve Auctions on 925bids.com from the official 925bids.com channel.

Sorry about the toxic posts out there. We do get our share of negative comments on the internet, some are full of outrageous claims. The items are accurately described. Please refer to the item descriptions. We provide full gemology and materials for each item. There’s a lot of confusion over the word “fake.” Sometimes people use that word to describe gold-plated jewelry. The majority of the items we sell are gold-plated as noted in each description. This is also known as gold over silver. We provide the base material and the plating material for plated items in the description. A lot of people who write those complaints never bothered to read the description, then they take the item to a jeweler, and ask if it’s real gold. Of course they’re disappointed with the answer because they didn’t have realistic expectations in the first place. Reading the description is important to a positive customer experience. Sometimes a jeweler will eyeball a diamond and say it’s “fake.” Fake is not a material used in manufacturing. It’s not a stone material. We spot test the stones with a stone-tester that visually displays the material, so we know with 100% confidence that the stone is genuine. We test for diamonds, rubies, sapphires, topaz, amethysts, and more. The tester is portable and costs less than $1,000. Any jeweler or pawnshop broker that does not use a stone-tester to check the stones in front of the customer is doing a disservice to the customer. It’s an easy way to make a customer angry by just dismissing something as “fake.” For testing of small stones, especially small diamonds, magnification is needed when testing because if the testing prong touches any part of the setting, the test will fail. That makes testing small stones meticulous and time-consuming. Jewelers and pawnbrokers will never take the time to explain that to you. Online sales are killing offline retail and their survival depends on you becoming their customer, not ours. If you do plan on taking the items to a jeweler, we recommend printing the item descriptions and taking them with you. Also, ask them to perform a stone-test with a stone-tester that displays the material. If they throw the old “only worth $5 or $1” line at you, ask to see the items that they sell for $1. Ask to see their $5 diamonds. They won’t have any. We don’t like disparaging the competition, but they are driving some angry posts by misinforming customers. We take a lot of pride in our customer service and are responsive to your needs. If for any reason you are dissatisfied with your items, you may return them for a refund. Returns are easy, just use the return item link on your ‘My Wins’ page. We hope we have addressed your concerns. Thank you. We are committed to providing you with excellent customer service. If you need further assistance, please contact us by phone at 740-396-0084 , 8-4 pm, Monday through Friday, not including holidays. We will be happy to help you.
